Perhaps because of its accessibility, GenAI has captured the imagination of many. 83% of respondents say they believe GenAI will transform every facet of our society and business.
And the wheels are already in motion. Over two fifths of respondents (41%) say GenAI has already had a ‘major’ or ‘totally transformative’ impact on their business and industry, while a further 45% say that it has had ‘some’ impact today.
Looking ahead, 89% of respondents expect the technology to have had a major or transformative impact within the next few years. It’s perhaps unsurprising that businesses are trying to get on the front foot with these changes.
78% of respondents said that understanding the potentially disruptive impact of GenAI is a top priority for their organisation. Creating truly transformative outcomes with AI will take work.
Ryan den Rooijen, Chief Operating Officer at Appsbroker and CTS explains, “It’s clear there is a massive opportunity to disrupt and drive innovation with GenAI but we should keep in mind that strong data foundations are needed to deliver meaningful impact at scale.
There is quite a big gap between playing with Bard and other GenAI tools and deploying them at scale within enterprise, particularly as part of automated processes.”
